Pricing local moving services

There are two ways to price local moves. The first is an hourly rate where you will be charged by the amount of men and trucks plus travel time. Alternatively, we can provide you with a flat rate, which is the total price of your move and requested services agreed upon prior to your move.

Protecting your belongings

We know how much your furniture and belongings mean to you. So, at no cost to you, we blanket wrap your furniture to be sure that nothing gets scratched or damaged in the process of moving.

Basic Evaluation insurance.

NYDOT- requires movers to provide basic liability evaluation at the rate of 30 cent per pound if doing a local moving with in the state of NY.

NJ Department of Consumer Affairs requires mover to provide basic liability Evaluation of 60 cents per pound when doing a move with in the state of New Jersey. Evaluation coverage comes at no cost to the consumer in addtion basic coverage we also offer many other Insurance plans to meet your specific needs. Give us a call for details.
 

Long Distance Moving

At Certified Van Lines we specialize in long-distance moving. We can move you anywhere you need to go in the continental United States, moving just one piece of furniture or an entire home.

Because we know that long-distance moves are not easy and can be very stressful at times, we make it easy on you by giving the utmost attention to every detail of your move. We also take the time to explain the process of long-distance moving to you.

Pricing long-distance moves

Getting the best price and the right relocation service can be difficult when it comes to choosing your long-distance moving company. Certified National Van Lines understands that and knows what your budget and the safe transfer of your belongings means to you. That’s why we provide all of our customers with two ways of pricing their move:

1. Binding price: Here we calculate the final cost of your long-distance move by measuring the distance and the amount of items you will be moving.
2. Weight estimate: We calculate this by determining the distance and the weight of your move. We weigh our moving trucks before and after picking up your move at government-approved weigh-stations. Then we provide you with two official weight receipts for your shipment, which determine the weight and therefore the cost of your move.

How do we determine our prices?

For larger moves we set up an appointment for one of our experienced onsite estimators to come to your home. He will take an accurate inventory of the items you’re moving. For smaller moves our office staff will take a complete list of items from you and then input the list into our state-of-the-art computer system, which will determine the size and distance of your move and calculate an accurate price.

Then our estimator will determine if you need us to pack anything or if you need to purchase packing material from us. Finally, we get the total cost of your move by calculating the distance, the services, and the amount of items you will be moving. Our estimator will present you with a detailed written estimate explaining the services and options we are providing.

Liability insurance

For all interstate moves, US DOT and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations require all licensed and insured movers to carry liability insurance at 60 cents per pound, at no cost to the customer. Any additional insurance will be at additional cost to you. If you would be interested in full replacement coverage, just let us know.

We follow these steps to ensure you an accurate budget and relocation plan.

The first step is sending out our experienced commercial relocation consultant. He will provide you with a price and assist with planning for your move.

Our second step is getting the right materials delivered to your office. Our relocation specialists will be there to help and assess during the packing process. In addition to this, our team will work on the floor plan with you to make sure everything is placed and set up correctly in your new office.

Third, to ensure full protection in accordance with your building's specifications, your office floors and walls, as well as common areas, will be properly protected. We set up wall coverings and Floor covering in all relocations.

On the day of the move, at the prearranged time, the crew, all equipment, and your foreman will arrive at your location to begin loading the designated items onto the trucks. Certified National Van Lines teams use various organizational methods, depending on your specific needs. Certified Van Lines then determines the safest and most efficient approach to get your relocation on its way.

To complete the relocation of your business, your belongings will be delivered to your new location. Our moving teams are courteous and professionally trained to move any item from simple book boxes to delicate antiques. Each move is supervised by a foreman who assures that you receive accurate information, proper documentation and fulfillment of any last-minute requests. Throughout your move, your foreman will remain in constant contact with our office to ensure customer satisfaction.
